Prevention First: Strong Communities, Strong Workforce
Micro-Credentialling Program – FAQs
Who is the training suitable for?
Anyone working in or alongside Queensland’s SEWB workforce, including health workers, practitioners, support workers, team leaders, trainees and program staff in ACCHOs and other services. It is written for people with different backgrounds and experiences, so there is something in it whether you’re new to the sector or have worked in it for years.
What does the program cover?
● How ACCHOs work, the SEWB framework, and where your role fits
● Cultural load and partnership in the workplace, and checking in on your own wellbeing
● Communication skills for supporting change, including active listening, open-ended questions, affirmations, reflections and summaries
● Trauma-informed and healing-focused care
● Self-compassion and building your own self-care plan
Reflection activities are private and are not assessed.
What is the duration of the program?
The program takes about 60 to 90 minutes, including activities and reflection. In accessIQ, you can save your progress and come back later.
What do you get for completion of the program?
On completion, you will receive a microcredential (digital badge). A microcredential shows you’ve developed a specific skill. Your digital badge is a verifiable record of that achievement, showing who issued it, who earned it and what you achieved. You can share your badge online as proof of your skills.
What does the program cost?
This program is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government and can be completed at no cost to the participant.
Will my data be collected?
This program is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government. To show that the funding is reaching the right people, the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) asks us to collect some information about learners.
The questions cover things like your background, language, and whether you identify as having a disability. Some people prefer not to share this kind of information, and that is fine. You can choose ‘prefer not to say’, and it will not affect your enrolment or your microcredential. Your answers to these questions are separate from your reflection activities, which are private and not assessed.
Who developed the program?
This program has been designed and developed by Benchmarque Group, a healthcare education provider, with the generous support and guidance of the Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council (QAIHC). This program is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government.
Who is accessIQ?
accessIQ is the online learning platform the program runs on. It is Australian-owned and operated, and it works on a computer or tablet device. It saves your progress, so you can stop and pick up where you left off.
