The SEWB Unit provides support to the SEWB workforce in Queensland, where the positions are funded through Prime Minister and Cabinet. The SEWB Unit conducts an annual Training Needs Analysis of approximately 250 SEWB workers in Queensland to ensure minimum skills and qualification standards are met and to identify the training and professional development needs of the sector.
In addition, the SEWB Unit is responsible for an Annual State Gathering, two Regional Forums, and one Leaders Network Forum that provide opportunities for peer support, networking, professional development and sharing best practice.
